Today, I want to talk about my hobby,PIANO.

I have learned playing the piano for about 16 years!!!

I started to learn piano when I was 3 years old but I don't remember when I started and why I started...
My mother took me piano lesson.

I quitted piano before I come here but I will go piano lesson after I go back Japan.

I lived with piano.

 

This is my and my mother's piano.

My mother brought the piano when she got married.

This piano is a good chance to start learning the piano lessons.

I want to talk about my piano story that my mother told me.

Why I started to learn the piano
because there is the piano in my home and my mother had my younger brother and then she was very busy.

Fortunately, my piano teacher lived near from my home.

That's why I started to learn the piano.


But I hated the piano lessons because I was not interested in piano.

So I often skipped the piano lessons when I was an elementary school student and skipping lesson was came out and I was gotten angry by my mother and my teacher.

And my teacher is too strict for me

That's why I hated the piano lessons.

But now it was good experience.

For example, piano concert in my piano class was good experience for me.

because I can show how I improved my piano skill and after I played, my teacher praised me very much.

So that's why I could continue to learn the piano.

I often played waltz that Chopin composed.

I like Chopin because his music is elegant.

My favorite music is "Grande Valse brillante"because I played the music at my last piano concert for me.

If you have interested in this music, listen to it!! 

Maybe you know this music!!!

This blue music book is a treasure for me because my piano teacher gave me when I entered my high school.


I really respect my piano teacher.

She taught me a lot.

For example, how I act for people who are older than me, she gave me advice about my future.

I love to have tea and talk after lesson.

I really love the time because I can relax.

I really respect her.


I don't know when I quit to play the piano but I want to enjoy my piano life.

In my future, if I have children, I want my children to learn the piano lesson.

And I want to play the piano with my children or if my children learn the violin, I want to play with my children!!!


Hahaha, I want to finish writing.

Writing Topic 5: Describe a place you will never forget

I want to write about place that I will never forget.

Place that I will never forget is Shichiriga beach.

I saw sea, beautiful sunset if you go there evening, people who took a walk, some groups of people and some flirting couples

I felt strong salt breeze.
It was so strong when I went to there.

I smelled like raw fish but it's not uncomfortable
It is summer smell!!

I felt cool and rough because of sand from my feet.

I heard sound of wave come and go away, sound of talking people, sound of running cars, and music that we were listening to!!



I want to write about a stupid story about Shichiriga beach.

My friends who belong to brass band club and I went the beach during summer vacation in 2nd year of high school.

Every summer vacation  we went to school to practice for our club activity almost every day.

One day we talked that " We didn't enjoy our summer!!!!!!!!!!what is our memory of summer???
It is only a lot of homework and very hard prctice for club activity.....but summer will be finished!!! We must enjoy summer right now!!!!!!.............But........ how do we enjoy our summer???

It was end of August and we didn't have holiday anymore because of club activity...................

Suddenly one of my friend said  "Let's go to sea, beach!!!! after we finished practice!!!!"

At first my another friends and I disagreed about her idea because the next day we had practice at 8:30am and the day our practice is finished at 3:30pm,It take about more than an hour to go to the beach from our school, and we were afraid that there are a lot of couples!!!

But we went to the beach because we really wanted to make some memories of summer vacation!!



After finished practice, we went to the beach.
We enjoyed the beach, took pictures, ate ice cream, walked a lot, went into sea little, talked and listenined to music!!!

But we had many happenings!!

The 1st happening was my friend fell on the beach and then big wave was coming!!
Her school uniform and herself got wet!!!
Fortunately her house is near from the beach.

The 2nd happening was we couldn't wash our feet!!!
When we arrived the beach we thought that we can use shower that is near the beach.
But we couldn't use!!!! because the shower was closed!!!!
We upset because our feet attached sand we can't wear our socks and our shoes!!
We bought a bottle of water by despenser.....

The 3rd, we enjoyed very much and we forget time!!!!!
When I was a high school student, I must go home by 8:00pm
But it was almost 8:00!!!
I upset because my mother gave me call and message on my cellphone!!!
I called soon and my mother answered.
I asked if my father had already come home or not yet because if I come home over 8:00pm, he got angry.
My mother said me "Don't worry. Your father had been on business trip"
I was relieved but I went home soon.
I got to home around 10:00
I told my mother that we went to the beach.
She was so surprised and laughed!!
And my younger brother also laughed but I was happy to make him fun because he was studying all day to pass entrance exam for private junior high school.
He always annoyed because of study.

The 4th, the next day we were terrible because we were tired.
We have to run long distance to develop our physical strength.
But my friend and I were ok....but another friend's face whose she got wet by wave was so red and she said "I'm so cold" We recognized that she has a fever!!! She went home soon!!!
Everyone who belonged to brass band clubworried about her.

After a few days later everyone who belonged to brass band club and teached who is adviser on brass band club knew why she had a fever.
Everyone and the teacher were surprised because we went the beach after finished practice and they laughed our story.
Then, we were called "stupid trio in summer" for a while.........

That story is about the beach.
Now we always can't stop laughing when we talk about this memory.
And we think that we are so stupid and young.
It was wonderful memory.
Every summer I remind this memory.


I will never forget this memory and this place❤

My Best Friends who I Became Friends in My High School Days

Today, I want to introduce my friends who I became friends in my high school days!!

My high school days was up so quickly because every day was so fun!!
But I think that if I didn't meet them, my high school days would have been so boring!!

First, I want to introduce my friends who belonged brass band club!!
We were always together because almost every day we had practice...!!
It was very hard....!! I always wanted to sleep!

First we didn't get well each other because we had much stress for our club activity and we were immature so we couldn't control our stress by ourselves.
We always click our tongue and said bad things about each other when we have some complain about each other.
And we didn't talk....
It was terrible days...

When we were 2nd year of high school, we talked each other and our relation was got better!!

3rd year of high school we were always together!!

They always couraged and helped me...!!
For example, when I had a solo part, I always can't play the solo part because I was always nervous...
I was thinking that I gave up the solo part.... and I quite to practice the solo part.

One day suddenly my friend gave me a slap on my right cheek!!!!!!!!!!
It was 1st time, I was given a slap on my cheek!!!!!!!!!!!
And she told me "Don't run away from my solo part, I should have responsibility for the solo part!!!"
After that she always practice with me.
It was very very very hurt but she changed me!!!!
If she didn't give me a slap on my right cheek, I always run away from obstacles

I met theses 6 friends almost every month because we always didn't have any plans...So we always met almost every month!! 

We ate dinner together and talked so long time!!

One of 6 friend goes to the same university!! 

And the friend took the same lesson!! 

I always sat next to her!!! 

And we ate lunch together!!

So I met her at least once a week!!

                                                                              

My friends gave this message board before I came Canada.

This is very important for me.

I'm going to meet them after I go back Japan!!

I really look forward to meet them, I can't wait!!!

    I want to write about my classmate.

We were same class during high school.

Maybe I couldn't become familiar in my class and I couldn't graduate my high school....
Because the first I couldn't have lunch because of my club activity's practice.... I think that lunch time is very important to make friends but I couldn't have lunch with my classmate and I couldn't make friends at first....
But my friend who is center in picture talked to me when we make a group and we became friends.

I think I couldn't graduate my high school without them because I couldn't study well and sometimes I slept during class....
They taught me before exam and they showed me note

I thank for them very much!!!!

We went to different university and we couldn't meet often because they were busy because of their boyfriends and school....but we met once 2 or 3 months

They always supported me, for example, I cried in classroom because of club activity.....
They always sat next to me and they always waited me stopped crying and after they listened to me.They always encouraged me.
They came to watch my brass band's performance!!!

They are important friends in my high school days.
We can talk everything each other.

I really want to meet them!!!
                                                                                       

My life in Winnipeg

Hello everyone. I am an IEP (Intensive English Program) student. I am from Sagamihara city in Japan. I am a university student in Japan and my major is English.
 I arrived last April the 3^rd. So I have been staying in Winnipeg for more than 10 months. I am spending a valuable time in Winnipeg. Today I would like to write about my life and some experiences in Winnipeg.

First I would like to write about my daily routine.  My class starts around 9 o’clock. I always wake up around 7 o’ clock , I get ready to go to school. I leave my home around 8:30. It takes about 50 minutes to get to school.
I usually arrive at my classroom 10munites before my lesson starts. I have 2 or 3 lessons before lunch after lunch I have 2 or 3 lessons.  I have 5 lessons from Monday to Thursday and I have 4 lessons on Friday.School is finished around 3;30
 After class, I spend time with my classmates, talking or going STARBUCKS and doing my homework together.
I arrive home around 6:30 and I relax in my room. I eat dinner around 7 o’ clock with my host mother. During dinner my host mother and I talk about what I did at school. I eat Japanese food, Italian food and Canadian food because my host mother is Italian and my host father is Japanese. I love her dishes because her dishes are very delicious. I am happy to eat Japanese food. After I eat dinner, I prepare my lunch, do my homework and then I go to bed.

On weekend I wake up late and I spend time with my friends, for example, going shopping and eating dinner. Or I relax at home, text very long message for my family, and spend time with my host family.

Second I would like to write about IEP classes. It is fun and attractive!! I always enjoy because I can express my opinion during class and the teachers talk to each students in class.
 In Japan, students are just sitting and listening to teachers. It is a little boring.
 And I changed my mind because before coming to Canada I was thinking that I would not be taking teaching classes because I think that teaching is a very hard job and I did not have enough confidence to be able to teach English. But recently I changed my mind, I will take teaching classes because as a teacher I want to have fun class like IEP classes!!
 IEP classes are very attractive and enjoyable!!!
And I can make a lot of foreign country friends!! They are very important for me because I can practice speaking English. When I am talk with my Japanese friends, I use Japanese. But when I talk with my foreign country friends, I must use English!! It is an good oppotunity for me because I can learn English from my Friends!!

Third I would like write about my residence.
 I lived at residence in the university from April to September. The rooms in the residence were more comfortable than I thought.  My image of a residence was dirty and small but it was good.
But I could not use much English because there were a lot of Japanese students in the residence so I switched to homestay. My host mother is very good because I can eat delicious food and she is very kind. She helps me very much and she corrects my English when I make mistakes. And  host family is also very kind to me. I can practice speaking English a lot!! It is very good for improving my English. I love my host family.

Fourth, I would like write about IEP activity. In IEP activity, I can experience and learn about Canadian and Winnipeg culture.
My most memorable activity is Coming of Age party.
Coming of Age is a Japanese event.
In Japan,  people who become 20 years old are recognized as adults and they are blessed and coming of age ceremony is held. I wanted to join the ceremony however, I could not attend the ceremony because I am in Winnipeg and I regretted coming to Canada a little.   But activity leaders and some students planed to hold the coming of age ceremony!! I was very surprised and happy because I gave up to attend the ceremony in Canada!!  I will tell about the ceremony after I come back Japan!! The event was most memorable activity.

Fifth, I would like to write about what I have noticed in Winnipeg.
 I have noticed that people in Winnipeg are very kind and friendly.
For example, when I wait for the bus, sometimes people who are my neighborhood talk to me very friendly and they continue to talk to me in the bus.
I was very surprised because this is not usual in Japan.
I have a very good time when people talk to me.
 I thought that “friendly” is very good point for Winnipeg.

I wrote about some my experiences in Winnipeg. I really enjoy life in Winnipeg.
I thank my friends, my teachers host family and people around me to help me and make me happy.
I  thank my parents and my grand parents in Japan to allowed me going to Canada and to support me.
 I love Winnipeg very much❤
But I leave Winnipeg at the end of March….
So I want to enjoy my life and improve my English a lot!!

Tomato Dishes❤

Today I want to talk about TOMATOES!!!!!

Tomatoes are one of my favorite foods.
I eat at least one tomato every day.
So I can't live without tomatoes!!!



I want to introduce my favorite tomato dishes that I have tried!!

The 1st dish is Tomato Jelly.

There is a whole tomato in the jelly

Can you image the taste???

It is so delicious!!
The jelly is sweet and the tomato that in the jelly is not vegetable, it is fruit!!!

I think that everyone smile after eat the jelly!!

I eat it after I come back Japan!!

The 2nd dish is Tomato Cake.

This cake was sold for only summer because summer is the best season for tomatoes.

I went to eat this cake about 2 years ago!!

The cake is put a cherry tomato and a few sliced tomatoes　are　put between a piece of sponge cake!!
It was sweet and sour little.

The cherry tomato which is top of the cake was very sweet!!!

May be I will eat it after I come back Japan in summer...but I am not sure because the shop that the cakes are sold is far from my house... I want to eat if I have a chance to eat it☺

The 3rd dish is Tomato-Nabe.
"Nabe" is a Japanese traditional dish.
We put soup vegetable meat and fish.

In fact I have eaten the dish during my younger brother went skiing and my father went on business trip for a week because my mother also loves tomatoes.

Soup of tomato-nabe is tomatoes.
I don't know how to make tomatoes soup because my mother always buys soup at supermarket.

In my family, we always put vegetable, for example, cabbage, bloccoli, mushroom, onion, carrot and tomato.
And we put meat, for example, sausage, chicken and pork.

This dish matches for red wine....❤ 

After finished eat all vegetable and meat, we put pasta and cheese.
The pasta is my favorite!!


These dishes are my favorite dishes!!

Some Gifts which I Was Given when I Was Born

Hello My Friends!!

Recently, I am thinking about gift for a baby because one of my friend will have a baby after I come back Japan!!

My friend is happy and I am also very happy and excited!!

Today I cannot think of a good topic to write so I want to write about gift which I was given when I was born. 

I want to show you some gifts which I have.

               

The 1st gift is this teddy bear!!

This teddy bear and my birthday is same.

My birthday is 7th January 1992,

The teddy bear was made 7th January 1992.

This gift is from my mother's friends.

When I was a child, I always brought it anywhere. 

This is one of my favorite gift.

This ring is from my mother's friends

Unfortunately, this picture is not mine...but it looks like mine.

It is my most favorite gift because I can use it now.

When I was a baby, I wore as a ring.

 After I grow up, I can wear as a necklace!!

I want to give a baby ring when my friends have  baby girls because I can feel a lot of loves when I wear it and I can use it for a long time!!

  

 The 3rd gift is red wine!!

The wine was made in 1992.

The wine is same age as me!!

This gift is from my grandfather!!

My grandfather wanted to drink the wine with me on my birthday when I become 20 yeard old.

But I couldn't......because I became 20years old in Winnipeg!!!

After I came back Japan, I will drink it with my grandparents, my parents, my uncles and aunts!!

The 4th gift is very important gift because it is a first gift from my parents!!!
It is my name!!!

In fact, I did not like my name..............
Because I knew girls whose name is "Haruka"
I always thought my name does not have character and sounds a little stupid.....
And almost parents think  their children's name by themselves...but my name was think by Buddhist priest...
When I knew Buddhist priest think  my name, I thought that my parents do not love me so that's why my parents did not think  my name by themselves....!!!

But I liked my name when I knew meaning of my name and why Buddhist priest named my name.

Now, I thank for my parents because they gave me good name, "Haruka".

I always feel a lot of loves when I see these gifts.

There are 4 gifts are a part of my gifts which I was given when I was born.

I have more, I will show you if I have an oppotunity.

Writing Topic3~Weddings in Japan~

Good evenig my friends

Today I want to write about weddings in Japan.
But I have no idea so I asked my parents about wedding!!
I think that I can tell very traditional wedding because my parents' wedding was traditional style.

I think that my parents' wedding was very rare because they had 2 weddings because my mother's family's religion is Christ and my father's family's religion is Buddhism....

The first my parents would have only traditional style wedding but my mother's family was disagree with that....

They had wedding at church and shrine !!!

Basically, we can choose wedding style.

We call traditional style "Shinto style"

We have Shinto style wedding at shrine.                              

Brides wear white kimono which is called Shiromuku.

Bridegrooms wear Hakama which is kimono for man.

The 1st, bride,bridegroom, thier family shinto priest and shrine maiden enter hall of worship during they enter at hall of worship kagura, which is music for god, is being played.

The 2nd, bride, bridegroom and their family purify.

The 3rd, shinto priest tells about the couple gets married for god and shinto priest pray their happiness.

The 4th, the couple do "san-san- kudou- no-gi" which the couple drink sacred sake 3 times to wish thier happiness is continued.

The 5th, shrine maidens dance traditional dance.

The 6th, the couple and their parents put a spring of the sacred tree. and they bow 2 times, clap 2 times and bow 1 time.

The 7th, the couple exchange their wedding ring.

The 8th, their parents and their family drink sacred sake.

The 9th, shinto priest tells that the wedding was finished for god.

The 10th, everybody leave hall of worship.

After the ceremony, they have wedding party.

Before they wedding, they have engagement which is called "Yuinou"

It is a ceremony to promise marriage.

Their family meet and eat dinner.

Bridegroom's family give bride's family weed, foods, sake and money

Bride's family also give some gifts.

That's all!!

Disney On Ice

I want to write about Disney On Ice on 28th January.
It was 3rd time for me to watch Disney on Ice.
When I was 4 years old, it was 1st time.
When I was an elementary school student, it was 2nd time.

Disney on Ice is a figure skating
Figure skaters are wear Disney costume and they skate with Disney music.

I went to watch Disney On Ice with Catherina.
It was activity.
It was wonderful!!

The first Catherina talked a activity leader that we want to watch Disney On Ice.
But it was full.... We could not go.
I was depressed little....
But we could go because someone do not go.
When I heard that we can go, I was very happy.
I look forward to watch Disney On Ice.

I can watch a lot of Disney characters, for example, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and so on....


Anyway it was wonderful!!
If you like Disney, you should watch Disney on Ice!!

Writing Topic 2 ~Adcice for My Friends~

Hello.
Today I want to give you some advices.
I hope that the advices can help you.

I think that you should bring a loptop, iPhone or iPod touch, cosmetics, electronic dictionary, camera medicine, credit card and glasses if your eyes are bad.
I think that almost people bring a loptop.
I recommend that you bring iPhone or iPod touch because it can substitute for camera and dictionary and you can connect the Internet freely with Wi-Fi.

You can buy everythin what you want in Winnipeg

• Weather

You think that you have to bring a lot of boots, coat, jacket and so on...
But you can buy in Winnipeg you do not have to bring a lot.
I recommend you to bring a lot of HEATTECH!!!
These are very important!!!
You can buy these at UNIQLO.

• Living accommodations

I recommend to stay residence and homestay.
Residence was good because it is near from school you can do everything what you want
You can do everything!!
Homestay is also good!!
Homestay family is very kind and you can make a lot of memories.

• Food

You can buy Japanese snack at chinese supermarket.
If you want to eat Japanese food you can go Japanese restaurant!
I recommend SUSHIKING!!

• Learning English

You should remember a lot of words before you come Canada.
If you know a lot of words you can communicate easily.
You should make friends who is not Japanese.
You can use English a lot!!
It is very good for improving your English!!

United 93 Movie Discussion

Q1. This film was released 5 years after the tragedy. Do you believe that this film has been made too soon after the 9/11 attacks? Why/why not?

I don't think so because the 9/11 attacks gave a lot of people much shocks. I think that almost people need a lot of time to understand and face the 9/11 attacks. And I think that a director of this movie, writer who wrote this story need some information to make this movie and collecting the information about 9/11 needed a lot of time.

Q6. Why do you think that the possibility of a plane hijack is not taken seriously by the people on the ground at first?

Because I think that the people on the ground thought that it is impossible to happen the plane hijack. Because the people on the ground thought that security in airport is perfect.

Q8. How does the passengers’ planning and bravery affect the terrorists? Why?

I think that the passengers' planning and bravery make the terrorists upset because the terrorists did not think that the passengers would fight against the terrorists and the terrorists thought that the passengers would obey the terrorists. But the passengers fought against the terrorists. So I think that the terrorists upset.

Q13.   What do you think that the director hoped to achieve by making this film?

I think that the director wanted to tell us this story because World Trade Center was pointed after the 9/11 attacks. But the director wanted to inform about this accident and the passengers fought against the terrorists.

About My Cute Cat

Today I want to introduce my cute cat.
He is Tino.
He is 16 years old!! He is as old as my younger brother!!
He is always sleeping in my bed during the daytime because he is old.
He is my homestay family's cat.

It is my first time to live with a cat.
I thought that cats are not friendly and cats likes to stay alone.

He changed my image!!!
He always sits next to me on sofa and I pet him.
He always runs to me when I come back home and he follows behind me anywhere.
He always sleep in my bed but he always sleeps on floor when I wake up. I don't why.....
I guess that I kick him out from my bed during I am sleeping......... I'm sorry my cat every night....

We are always together
When I am studying, I am eating, I am watching TV, I am using my computer...
Even though I am taking a bath.... Of course, he waits me out of bath room. I don't take a bath with him

Sometimes he disturbs me, for example, he cries very loudly, he scratch my arms legs wherever, he jumps to my laptop.

But I love him!!

His appearance is very good.
He has very beautiful white far.
Especially his paws are so cute!!
His paws are also white and soft.
His eyes colour are different.
His left eye is blue and right eye is yellow.


I love him very much♡
I really want to bring him to my house in Japan when I go back Japan.
But it is impossible so I want to enjoy spending time with him as I can.
